Angela Rose Voulgarelis moved to San Francisco from her native Manhattan in 1998; she has been working as a professional artist and arts educator with the San Francisco Arts Education Project and the Pacific Primary School. Her work examines the psychological and physical layers of the Self as it emerges both as artifact and landscape. The body is revealed as the vehicle for this exploration as well as its subject. She has been in group shows on both coasts; in addition to Constellating, her work will be on view concurrently at The Loft, in Albany, New York, with her first one woman exhibition, entitled Anima.
