Rebecca Szeto is a native San Franciscan artist whose work is united by an awareness of perceived limitations and boundaries. Through the marriage of seemingly disparate fragments, she explores the concept of movement within stillness and brings into question the ideals of a coherent identity. Her paintings are characterized by strong figurative elements within abstract fields. Szeto collaborated with photographer/filmmaker, Amy Hicks, in a film entitled Eve's Motive which recently screened at Artists Television Access.
